" I'm trying to better understand how to do tlk characters. So i'm doing a study from the movie the lion king 2. =3
I drew this from an actual scene in the movie. it's right after kiara bumps into him for the first time, and he snarls at her. So i paused the screen, took a screenshot of it, and printed it off. and then i looked at it and drew it here. and lmao, i sketched it out while i was in the car heading down to see my brother yea...so i drew it while we were in motion. but it wasn't too bumpy because we were on the highway XD and i sketched a few other scenes in the car as well. and lol, it's not exactly perfect, but it's pretty ok i'd say. i was actually trying to draw this smaller so i could fit him completely on the paper....but somehow i always manage to draw too big
but yea...my tlk characters needed work. so i'm looking at the poses, and facial expressions. and i'm gonna try to draw one of each from the moive...cause i gotta get used to the style. i used to have such a hard time drawing cartoons...i was a full fledged realistic artist but i think i'm starting to simplify my lines enough to make it cartoony. yea.
So yea, lemme know what you think.
My scanner robbed this of some color, but the scan's not too bad.
oh!! and my light tan marker died ;_; that's why it's so icky to the left of his head...markers always die at the wrong time... -_-;;
i might do add a background later on...so i may end up re-uploading the picture. but i dunno...do you think it needs a background?
Media: prisma color markers
Time: a few hours...maybe 4."
